I lift my small head, my big blue burning orbs locking on the trail of crimson blood leaking across the cracked, grey terra. I shift my figure and sink into the darkening shadows, My pointed auds folding back against my soft cranium. I let my maw open a crack, my steamy breath floating up into the cold, night sky. I softly lower my flank down to the softer, dirt terrain. I keep my orbs gaze on the flat, dry terrain below me as the feelings slowly set in. My mother was dead.

Past: she was born to a dog fighting ring. She wasn't what they wanted, so when she was one year old--and not in very good shape because they refused to waste good food on her. And they weren't very nice, kicking her around a lot. Anyway, when she was a year old, they threw her in the fighting ring. But she wasn't meant to fight. She was meant to die. They tied each of her paws to rope in a different direction and let out Rottweilers out. She was going to be slaughtered. But she outsmarted both the no claws and the dogs. She shifted away from their attacks and managed to get them to bite the rope off her legs. Then she used her better speed do avoid the rest of the attacks and got the rottweilers to accodently kill each other instead of her. She launches a few attacks of her own and soon the ground was littered with the bodies of the other dogs. The mo claws put her in again, and again before she managed to escape.
RP example:
I stay perfectly silent as the truck rolls past, then leap out onto the asphalt after it passes. I dart across the road, the hard grit digging into my pads. I ignore the pain and crash into the bushes on the other side, panting for breath. I prick up my lop-sided ears, hearing a baa. I push my way through the bushes, every muscle alert. Then I relax. Sheep! I love Sheep! I dart into the clearing before I can stop myself, instincts taking over. i herd the sheep into a small circle, then dart away again, laughing silently at the human's confusion as they stare after me in shock.

Name: Sprat (Called Tripod as a pup, but he grew accustomed to it and didn't let it bother him. Has now become a nickname of some sorts.)

Personality: A high-spirited male, likes running about, showing that he can still move just as fast as any other canine, though he works a bit harder for it. He's usually the more submissive of a bunch, but when something peeves him, he shows it.

Sprat bounded through the forest, chasing only God knows what. Though three-legged, he refused to let that stop him. With his tail wagging and his tongue lolling out of the side of his mouth, he took in the quickly passing trees, leaves, twigs, everything about him. With only the exuberance he could show when he was, as some said, 'in his element', he let out a long series of bays.
